Meet Dr. Sorokin
Dr. Evan Sorokin is a board certified plastic surgeon. At his New Jersey cosmetic surgery practice, he offers breast enlargement and other breast enhancement procedures such as breast lift and breast reduction. Dr. Sorokin has extensive experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery, and offers a complete cosmetic surgery menu, including body contouring and facial sculpting.
Dr. Sorokin has earned board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). To become board-certified, he had to meet rigorous standards:
- Graduate from an accredited medical school
- Complete at least 5 years of additional training, including at least 3 years in a general surgery residency and at least 2 years in a focused plastic surgery training program
- Pass comprehensive written and oral exams
In addition to his technical skill, Dr. Sorokin understands the importance of good bedside manner and building long-term relationships with the women and men he serves. A native of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Dr. Sorokin received his undergraduate education at Cornell University and then attended and graduated from Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia. He went on to complete his general and plastic surgery training at the University of Texas - Southwestern. Dr. Sorokin ultimately returned home to New Jersey to found a cosmetic surgery practice of his own.

There is a major difference between these two "Boards." While members of each advertise themselves as "board-certified," only the American Board of Plastic Surgery is recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.
Unlike the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, which allows physicians from disciplines such as family practice and dermatology to call themselves "cosmetic surgeons," the American Board of Plastic Surgery has very specific criteria to make sure a surgeon is trained in all aspects of plastic surgery.
