Your Consultation: What to Expect
You have a vision for the look you want to achieve. By doing research on the Web, you're taking the first steps toward making that vision a reality. Your next step? Scheduling a consultation at Dr. Sorokin's New Jersey cosmetic surgery practice.
When you come in for your visit, here's what you can expect:
- When you first arrive, you'll be greeted by our receptionist and invited to complete medical history and other paperwork in our relaxed, comfortable reception area.
- Unlike most doctor's offices, our patients aren't kept waiting. You'll be escorted into a private consultation room to meet with New Jersey plastic surgeon Dr. Evan Sorokin. He'll ask a little about what's brought you into the office, review your medical history, and discuss your concerns.
- Next, Dr. Sorokin will discuss the procedures that interest you in more detail. If you're considering a procedure that will involve the use of breast implants, you'll have the opportunity to hold and handle different styles (including saline and silicone gel, textured and smooth shell).
- For your physical exam, you'll be taken to an examination room and provided with a comfortable gown to wear. You change into this gown in private and then Dr. Sorokin returns with Alisha, the office's patient liaison. Alisha works hard to ensure that all the Philadelphia and New Jersey cosmetic surgery patients who choose Delaware Valley Plastic Surgery have a satisfying experience, and she'll be with you every step of the way, from the consult through recovery. In fact, she is also Dr. Sorokin's OR scrub nurse who assists him during every surgical procedure.
- During your exam, measurements are taken and if you are considering breast augmentation in New Jersey, you can try on different implant sizers to get a better sense of the size and shape you would like to achieve after surgery. Dr. Sorokin will make recommendations and answer any additional questions you have.
- When Dr. Sorokin wraps up his part of the consultation, he'll leave you in Alisha's capable hands. Alisha will take photos and then you'll be able to change out of the exam gown. Alisha will review any required medical testing, pricing, scheduling, office policies, and other specifics.
We will never pressure you into scheduling surgery on the day of your consultation. Our goal is to help you learn more about your options and get a professional recommendation you can trust. Most women spend about an hour with us during the consultation, and we hope that you feel much more informed after your visit.
Many trips to the doctor can be stressful. Dr. Sorokin and his staff have worked hard to make sure your visit to his New Jersey cosmetic surgery office is a stress-free, rewarding, and educational experience. Request an appointment today to get started making your vision a reality.
