This 30 year old lady presented to the office stating that after childbirth she had lost the shape and position of her breasts. This is a very common complaint of young women. She desired a breast lift but did not want to use any implant. She is shown here approximately one year after a breast lift (mastopexy) procedure performed by New Jersey plastic surgeon Dr. Evan Sorokin. The surgery was performed as an outpatient procedure and she had a 10 day recovery. The shape of the breasts are dramatically improved. Of note when comparing photos with and without implants one will notice that the upper portion of the breast does not have as much fullness in the long term whenever a breast lift is performed without an implant. The incisions and resultant scars in this case are the anchor incision shape (also called the inverted T incisions.) After 6 months the scars tend to fade to a very acceptable appearance.
